What I've been working on lately . . .

I've really neglected this blog. I haven't popped onto here in quite awhile! But I have been busy making things. Lately I've been busy making warm clothes for my granddaughters out of minky fabric. It's really soft and lovely! I'm going to make some more for them soon, and I've also got plans to make some things, particularly new minky blankets, for my little grandsons, both of whom are a year old.

Before Christmas (and a little afterwards), I made a number of tutus for my granddaughters and some children that we support at church. Lots of fun, and easy to make! The hardest thing was finding the correct size to cut the elastic and cutting the tulle. In other words, they really weren't difficult to make at all. :) But the elastic tended to stretch some, especially if the width used was narrower; that meant that the elastic had to be cut smaller than the size of the waist, especially if you loaded lots of tulle on the elastic to make it very full and fluffy. My granddaughters look like sweet little ballerinas when they wear theirs! :)

I'm also working on some belated Christmas presents for some of the ladies in my family. I hope to post a picture of a completed item in the near future. :)
